Collaboration between communities is one of the great benefits of the 5 Healthy Towns Project. People and organizations who haven’t interacted before are working together to provide wellness activities to their communities. By sharing ideas and resources, our 5 Healthy Towns are able to implement interventions that might be untenable otherwise.

The list of interventions shared among communities includes SRSLY, Fitness for Life (CWF sponsored), the Big Red Barrel Program, Safe Routes to School and the Huron Waterloo Pathways Initiative. These interventions are featured parts of two or more of the 5H Communities.

In addition, the local Farmers Markets in Chelsea, Dexter, Grass Lake, Manchester and Stockbridge and walking programs in all five communities meet on a regular basis to share marketing ideas, discuss different strategies to promote success of participants and more.
