The Farmers Markets in the 5 Healthy Towns area are open! Chelsea Farmers Market, Grass Lake Farmers Market and the Open Air Market of Stockbridge, and Acorn Farmers Market and Cafe provide fresh produce, baked goods, meats, and more!
Runners and walkers, there are still spots for the Traffic Jam’in 5k! The course is a flat, scenic run and walk around the lake and nearby neighborhood. The race is on Friday, July 8 and starts at 7 pm. You can learn more here and sign up here!
5 Healthy Towns Foundation and our Wellness Centers are pleased to offer free outdoor yoga sessions this summer!!
All of the sessions are on Saturdays. Dexter Wellness Center’s Yoga in the Park series at Mill Creek Park South starting at 8 am while Chelsea Wellness Center supports Chelsea’s Yoga on the Lawn at Chelsea District Library and Grass Lake’s Yoga by the Lake at Grass Lake County Park (both at 10 a.m.)
5 Healthy Towns Foundation is now accepting proposals for regional interventions that address isolation, food access, and/or physical activity opportunities in the 5 Healthy Towns service area. Up to $500,000 over the next three years will be made available for the RFP process. The 5HF service area includes the populations within the Chelsea, Dexter, Grass Lake, Manchester, and Stockbridge School Districts. Click here for more information!
