Chelsea, MI, May 23, 2017 – Look around on Saturday mornings, all summer long. You’ll see Yoga in the Park, on the Lawn and by the Lake.  Dexter Wellness Coalition, Dexter Wellness Center, Chelsea Wellness Center, Grass Lake Community Wellness Initiative and 5 Healthy Towns Foundation are partnering to once again offer our popular outdoor yoga and exercises classes.

Dexter Wellness Coalition and Dexter Wellness Center are reviving The Summer Fitness Festival with Outdoor Yoga classes at 8 a.m. followed by an Outdoor Exercise class at 9 a.m.  The classes take place at Dexter’s Mill Creek Park (downtown Dexter off Jeffords) every Saturday morning in June, July and August.

Chelsea Wellness Center and Chelsea District Library will bring Yoga to the Lawn in downtown Chelsea.  Classes are held at 10 a.m. at CDL’s outdoor space (221 S Main Street) every Saturday from June 10th – August 19th.

Finally, Grass Lake Community Wellness Initiative and the Wellness Centers will host ‘Yoga by the Lake’ for the second straight year.  Sessions are hosted at Grass Lake County (374 N. Lake Street) every Saturday in June and July.

Every session is completely free of charge and open to everyone.  Participants will have to sign a waiver and should bring exercise mats or towels, along with water.   Interested community members can follow Dexter Summer Fitness Festival, Dexter Wellness Coalition, Chelsea Wellness Center, Grass Lake Community Wellness Initiative and the 5 Healthy Towns Foundation on facebook, respectively, for any weather and scheduling updates to the various classes.
